German Shepherd Dog - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog - Betsy
Description
Betsy is one of 26 dogs saved from the Camp Wolfgang shelter that closed in Texas. All these dogs were scheduled to be euthanized from the closing but are now safe in Washington state and ready for adoption. Betsy is just the sweetest girl you will ever meet and one of just a small handful of German shepherds that are not purebred that came back from Texas. Everyone is interested in the pure shepherds so the poor cross bred ones are being "left in the dark". Betsy is an amazing girl with extreme intelligence. She learned the "out" command in just one session. She is a perfect house dog and has no trouble with any of the normal house issues such as counter surfing, getting into the trash, and crewing things in the house. She is fully crate trained and house trained. Loves to "sit pretty" and can hold it for a very long time. Betsy loves other dogs and great with cats. She needs a home without small children. Her first foster home had to bring her back because when her toddler "misbehaved" Betsy would try to herd him back to mom. This never broke skin but was scary for the young child. Betsy would make an amazing dog for anyone! Betsy is being fostered in Bonney Lake and is current on shots and is spayed. Her adoption fee is $100.
